We are honoured to live on this land, and are committed to reconciliation, decolonization, and building a relationship in our communities, organizations, and league.

Before contact First Nation people lived in balance, and interconnectedness with the land and water in which the necessities of life are provided.

Disparities persist, which are due to the impacts of colonization, and First Nation-specific racism.

We (The Vancouver Island Soccer League) acknowledge and recognize these homelands and stewardship of the First Nation ??x?íl??x? of this land; it is with humility we continue to work toward building our relationship.
